Effects of Old age who have been Emotionally Abused Self-awareness on Self-esteem£º Moderating Effects of Social Support

Abstract
It was attempted in this paper to analysis the effects of self-awareness on self-esteem as well as the mediating effects of social supports for old age who had been emotionally abuse. For this purpose, a hierarchial regression analysis was performed to 146 selected from among 969 who understood that they had been maltreated. the major outcomes of the study could be summarized as follows£º Firstly, self-awareness of being abused negatively influenced on self-esteem. Secondly, social supports from a family and other people positively affected on self-esteem. Thirdly, especially social supports from other people were found to have mediating effects since both interactional variable input and F variation of significant probability proved significant. Based on these outcomes, practical intervention measure were discussed to improve their mental health who had been emotionally abused.
